I retired from the U. S. Navy in 1995 and began a second career as a teacher. This is my fourteenth year as a teacher. I have been a 7th grade language arts teacher for thirteen of those years, ten of which have been here at Schilling Farms Middle School.

I am married (yes, to Mr. Harris who teaches 8th grade math and Algebra I at Schilling Farms), have a miniature schnauzer, and I am a grandmother. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, letter writing, gardening, and photography.
